Growing Conditions

The property is 30 hectares of vineyard that is cultivated without the use of herbicides or pesticides. The goal is to seek natural balance in the wines for balanced, high quality fruit.

Certified organic and following some biodynamic practices.

Formerly part of the Cava DO, Can Descregut left to join Corpinnat which uses organic, estate grapes made in their own winery (no purchased fruit) that are hand-harvested and only using the traditional varieties of Penedes.

Winemaking

A quality sparkling wine made with the main local grapes (xarel.lo, macabeu and parellada).

Organic grapes are 100% estate grown and harvested by hand. Oxidation is avoided before pressing and is 100% vinified at Can Descregut's winery. It's then aged aged with it's own lees for 6 months. Then liqeur de Tirage is added and is aged a minimum of 18 months in bottle. The wines are hand-disgorged on demand to guarantee freshness without the addition of sugars or sulfites.

Aged minimum 24 months and totally dry with a high freshness.

Nose

Perfect balance between fruity notes and tertiary tones of aging.

Palate

In the mouth it is structured, creamy and with perfect sugar and acidity balance

Appearance

Pale yellow color with golden highlights and fine, consistent bubbles.

Its a versatile wine to have alone or to accompany any dish.
